End Grain Cutting Boards
If you’ve ever been told to go-easy, these white oak cutting boards may be just what you need. The grain forward surface allows knives to “sink in” rather that sever the wood causing less wear on your blade and the board. All boards are unique, so patterns will vary and stay with you for generations when well taken care of. They’re as useful as they are attractive, so you won’t feel guilty putting this piece to work.
All end grain cutting boards have been pre-seasoned with oil and sealed with a top coat of wax.
Small: 9” x 12” x 1.4”
Medium: 11.5” x 16.75” x 1.4”
Large: 14” x 21” x 1.4”

Care and Maintenance
Clean your board regularly with damp, soapy cloth washing away all the crumbs, grease, etc. Dry the board immediately and never store in the sink.
Store your board upright when possible, and never on a wet surface. When a board is wet on one side, and dry on the other, warping tends to occur. Keep this in mind when cleaning/storing your board.
Oil your board a few times a year for best results. Think of it this way: the more oil that is in the board, the less water and dirt can enter the pores causing premature aging, wrapping, etc. Start with a clean, dry board and apply the oil generously on both sides with a paper towel, working in a circular motion. After an hour or so, re-apply and let the board sit overnight to fully absorb the oil. There are several ‘butcher block oil” products that work quite well and most are a blend of mineral oil and beeswax. We prefer John Boos “Boos Block Mystery Oil” and is what we apply to every board we make.
