It’s never easy to leave a place you call home.

And that is exactly what I did. I walked away from a perfectly good design job at an outstanding company to pursue a decade-long dream of creating my own furniture company. For years, I was hesitant to start the business for concern that it could undo my passion for the craft. After a few years of reflection, I came to a realization that my love for the design and the craft are inseparable, which was important for me to understand.

For me, it’s always been about more than just building furniture.  I’m looking to create that moment when design and craft unite in such a way that they create something that is as beautiful as it is functional. It’s these items that we value the most in our lives and are the ones we keep with us over time. They tell a story. They bring us together and become part of our lives. Scratches that occur over time simply mark the journey and remind us that our most valued possessions improve the longer they stay with us.

Watching a design come to life, sustainably, and knowing that it will live a life of service and satisfaction is a fulfilling experience. It keeps our small team inspired, always looking for that opportunity to create ‘better’, not more.
